ATEX
Experienced in the planning of the solutions to handling potentially explosive powders.

Since 1st July 2003 has come into effect the European ATEX Guideline 94/9/CE, known also as “ATEX 95”,
which is applied to protective equipment and systems, electrical and non-electrical, that have to be used
in potentially explosive atmosphere: gas, vapour and powders.

The directive states, for the first time, which are the essential safety and health requirements concerning the non-electrical equipments, intended to be used in potentially explosive atmosphere, and those equipments intended to be used in potentially explosive workplaces due to the risks coming from the presence of powders.

Nol-Tec Europe, thanks to its plant engineering experience, has analysed and applied the regulation realizing ATEX plants for primary food and chemical companies, and also introducing its own know-how in several meetings and conventions.

The experience in the powder handling and the attention to the composition of the product make Nol-Tec an important referent point for:

1) the advice in the ciìhoice of the machineries and the plant design according to the social and economical Atex 99/92/CE regulation (ATEX 137);

2) the study of the process, as the intelligent application of the regulation leads to a considerable saving for the customer;

3) the revamping of existing plants accordino to the Atex regulation and to the il Titolo XI del D.lgs. n°81 of 2008.
